The answer to the statement is yes, when scuba divers carry oxygen cylinders they have to wear mask for preventing oneself from low oxygen solubility caused by differential pressures. As been aware pressure in deep sea is higher than atmospheric pressure if scuba divers neglects mask will lead to consequence of Alveolar sac bulging in lungs sometimes resulst in bursting. Hence wearing mask is must for prevention from high pressure consequences.
