We know that slope of line = y2-y1x2-x1=y1-y2x1-x2
Slope of the line joining the points (k, -3) and (4, 5) = -3-5k-4=-8k-4
It is given that slope =12.
12=-8k-4k-4=-16k=-16+4k=-12
