Width of of sweet tray=36 cm

Factors of 45 : 1,3,5,9,15,45

Factors of 36 :1,2,3,4,6,9,12,36

Common factors : 1,3,9

The maximum possible length of the sweet is HIGHEST COMMON FACTOR and HCF of 36 and 45 is 9.

Therefore, the maximum possible length of each sweet piece is 9cm.
