Let the three consecutive even numbers be $2 x - 2, 2 x, 2 x + 2$ .
We have,
$(2 x - 2) + 2 x + (2 x + 2) = 234$
$\Rightarrow 6 x = 234$
$\Rightarrow x = 39$
