Ratio of Robert and James have savings in the ratio 6:10
Robert's saving=6x
James's saving=10x
Total savings will be in a multiple of 16x=6x+10x=16x
Similarly,
After each spending Rs.40,
6x4010x40=12 (According to the given condition )

According to the given condition,
12x80=10x40
2x=40
x=20,
Hence,
Initially, the total amount of savings of two friends will be in multiple =120+200=Rs.320
