Open in App
Solution

Area of the triangle having 3 vertices

A=12∣ ∣x1y11x2y21x3y31∣ ∣

Here, x1=1,y1=3, x2=4,y2=p, x3=9,y3=7

±15=12∣ ∣1314p1971∣ ∣

±30=p7+3(4+9)+1(28+9p)

±30=p7+12+27+28+9p

±30=10p+60

10p=90,30

p=9,3
