Total number of balls = 25
Number of balls in each group = 5
Number of groups formed = ?

Here, we have to divide 25 balls in groups of 5 balls each.
that is, we have to find the value of 25 ÷ 5.

We know, division is nothing but repeated subtraction.
To find the answer, we need to repeatedly subtract 5 from 25, until we get a zero.

25 − 5 = 20
20 − 5 = 15
15 − 5 = 10
10 − 5 = 5
5 − 5 = 0

Here, the number 5 has been repeatedly subtracted 5 times from 25 to reach zero .
So, 25 ÷ 5 = 5.
Therefore, five groups of 5 balls can be formed.
