If there is a triangle and and its base is 40 and height is 10 . On the other hand there is trapezium of height 10 and base is 10 and the top side is 30. Base of trapezium is parallel to its top. Find the area of both and check whether the area is same or not if same then tell the reason why their area is same?

Area of triangle = 1/2 bh Area of trapezium=1/2h(a+b) Since altitudes are same, area of both is equal because Base if triangle is equal to the sum of top and bottom parallel sides of trapezium.
