If there is no oxygen in space then how does combustion take place inside the sun ?

Combustion reaction are not the source of Sun's energy .There is a fusion reaction taking place in Sun which produces such a large amount of energy into it. Inside the Sun, hydrogen atoms combine to form helium atom and a large amount of energy is released during the reaction. So, combustion is not the process by which sun provides energy.
