Solution

The correct option is A 3+12
Given, two angles of triangle 30o & 45o included side 3+1 .

Let ΔABC
B=30
C=45
BC=3+1

In ΔABC AD is perpendicular to BC

So, in ΔABD

tan30o=ADBD=ADx=13 ……….(i)

In ΔADC

tan45o=ADCD=AD3+1x=1 ……….(ii)

Let compare equation (i) & (ii)

x3=3+1x

x=3(3+1x)

x=3+33x

(1+x)x=3+3=3(3+1)

x=3(3+1)(1+3)=3

x=3

Put the value of x in equation (i)

AD3=13,

So AD=1cm

Area of triangle ΔABC=12×base×height

=12×(3+1)×1

=3+12.
