If two angles of a triangle are are equal, is it classifies as an isosceles triangle , or are triangles classified only on basis of length of sides?

If two sides of an isosceles triangle are equal, then the angles opposite to them are equal and vice-versa. Thus, in both the cases, triangle will be isosceles.
