So, this is a case of direct proportion.

Let the space occupied by 150 card board boxes be x cubic centimetres .
Space (in cubic centimetres) 300 x
Number of cardboard boxes 2 150

[0.5 mark]

2300=150x
x=150×3002=22500

Thus, the required space for packing 150 card boxes is 22500 cubic centimetres.
