if water,milk and oil each are packed in a one litre bottle and immersed in water which one displaces more water justify your answer

Solution

Buoyant force is given by the product of volume of the immersed body (or the volume of liquid displaced), density of the liquid and the acceleration due to gravity. Now, if water, milk and oil of same volume are immersed in water, the volume of water displaced in all cases will be same. Thus, the buoyant force will be equal in all cases.
