If we keep on increasing CO² concentration in the air what will be the rate of photosynthesis?

Solution
Yes, increase in CO2 increases the rate of photosynthesis until limited by another factor.
Carbon di oxide present in the atmosphere is about 0.032% by volume and it is really a low concentration which acts as limiting factor in nature. If we increase the amount of CO2under laboratory conditions and if the light and temperature are not the limiting factors, the rate of photosynthesis increases. This increase is observed up to 1% of CO2concentration. At the same time very high concentration of CO2 becomes toxic to plants and inhibits photosynthesis.
