Let us understand this better with the help of an example

let us assume that the linear equation be x+3y=4

Here if we substitute x=1,we will get y=1

So , x=1and y=1 is a solution of the above equation

Further, if we multiply both sides by 2 , the equation becomes 2x+6y=8

On substituting x=1and y=1,

2(1)+6(1)=8

So , we can observe that the solution remains the same after multiplication on both sides

Hence, option B is the correct option.
