Solution

Rules for multiplying positive and negative integers

  • When we multiply two integers with the same sign then the resulting integer will be a positive integer.
  • When we multiply two integers with different signs then the resulting integer will be a negative integer.

It can be written as,

Positive integer × Positive integer = Positive integer

Negative integer × Negative integer = Positive integer

Positive integer × Negative integer = Negative integer

Negative integer × Positive integer = Negative integer

For example : a×b×c×d×e×f×(-g)×(-h)×(-i)×(-j)×(-k)×(-l)=a×b×c×d×e×f×g×h×i×j×k×l, where a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,kandl are integers

Hence, If we multiply six negative integers and six positive integers, then the resulting integer will be a positive integer.
