Question

If we put a ball a ball on the floor then why it does not move backward due to friction.

Dear Student
we know that backward friction force only then come when we apply any forward force
if is not moving than friction force will be just equal to applied force and if body moving
then it is equal to limiting friction force but if there is no forward applied force no friction
at all.
