If we put a cello tape on balloon and then insert a stick in balloon, it'll not burst. Why this happens??

Solution

Dear Student,

When we put a stick in a balloon without the cello tape it pops because the tip of the stick is stretching the rubber until it breaks. If we place a piece of tape on the balloon it reinforces the rubber and does not allow it to stretch to the breaking point when the stick pierces the balloon so it does not burst.
