Now, multiply x in both side

Sx=x+2x2+3x3+4x4+........2

On subtracting 2 by 1.

S-Sx=1-x+2x-2x2+3x2-3x3+.....S1-x=1+x+x2+x3+....S1-x=11-x[sumofinfiniteGPisa1-r]S=11-x2
