Finding the value of k:

By substituting the given solution in the equation we will get the value of k.

Now, solving for the value of k,

Since x=1 and y=2 is a solution of 2x+3y=k,

By putting the values of x and y in the given equation, we get;

2(1)+3(2)=k
2+6=k
k=8
Hence, the value of k is 8.
