$x - x^{2} + 7$

Let us substitute $x = 2$ in the given expression $x - x^{2} + 7$ as shown below:

$x - x^{2} + 7 = 2 - (2)^{2} + 7 = 2 - 4 + 7 = 9 - 4 = 5$

Hence, $x - x^{2} + 7 = 5$ if $x = 2$ .
