It is given that x=322, and we have to find find x4, so we first find x2 that is (322)2 as follows:

(322)2={(3)2+(22)2(2×3×22)}{(ab)2=(a2+b22ab)}={9+8(122)}=17122

Therefore, x2=17122

Now, let us find x4=(x2)2 that is:

(17122)2={(17)2+(122)2(2×17×122)}{(ab)2=(a2+b22ab)}={289+288(4082)}=5774082

Thus, x4=5774082
Now we will find the value of x4+1x4 as shown below:

x4+1x4=5774082+(15774082)=5774082+(15774082×577+4082577+4082){Rationalizedenominator}=5774082+⎜ ⎜577+4082(5774082)(577+4082)⎟ ⎟=5774082+⎜ ⎜577+4082(577)2(4082)2⎟ ⎟{(ab)(a+b)=a2b2}
=5774082+(577+4082332929332928)=5774082+(577+40821)=5774082+577+4082=577+577=1154

Hence, x4+1x4=1154
