If x=a⅓-a^-⅓,then find x³-3x-a

Sol:
x = (a1/3) - (a-1/3)
Cubing on both sides,
x3 = (a1/3)3 - (a-1/3)3 - 3(a1/3 - a-1/3)
x3 = a - a-1 - 3x
Putting x3 in the given equation x3 + 3x - a We get,
a - a-1 - 3x + 3x - a
= – a–1
x3 + 3x - a = – a–1
