Given,
x=a(secθ+tanθ), y=a(secθtanθ).
or, xa=(secθ+tanθ)......(1) and ya=(secθtanθ).......(2).
Now multiplying (1) and (2) we get,
xya2=(sec2θtan2θ)
or, xy=a2. [ Since sec2θtan2θ=1]
