According to Freundlich adsorption isotherm, the relationship between the amount of gas adsorbed and the mass of solid at constant temperature is
xm=kp1/n
Here, k and n are constants, x is the amount of gas adsorbed and m is the amount of solid present.

Freundlich adsorption isotherms can be plotted only at the condition of constant temperature or constant pressure. They cannot be plotted when both temperature and pressure vary. Thus, the relationship :
