If x=-k and y=52 is a solution of x+4y-7=0, find the value of k.

Finding the value of k:

Substituting the given solution in the equation we will get the value of k.

Since x=-k and y=52 is a solution of x+4y-7=0,

By putting the values of x and y in the given equation, we get;
-k+4(52)-7=0
-k+10-7=0

-k+3=0.

k=3
Hence, the value of k is 3.
