Solution

The correct option is C 5 > 2 + 2 = 10 < 4 × 2
If x stands for addition, < for substraction, + stands for division, > for multiplication, - stands for equal to, for greater than and = stands for less than,
x + < - + / > x - =
> = <
for (i) 3 2 < 4 +16 = 2 + 4 means 3 + 2 - 4 / 16 < 2/4 or 5 - 1/4 < 1/2 which is not true.
for (ii) 5 > 2 + 2 = 10 < 4 + 2 means 5 x 2 / 2 < 10 - 4 +2 or 5 x 1 < 8 or 5 < 8 which is true, Thus option B is right answer.
for (iii) 3 4 > 2 - 9 + 3 < 3 means 3 + 4 x 2 = 9 / 3 - 3 or 11= 0 which is not true.
for (iv) 5 3 < 7 + 8 + 4 1 means 5 + 3 - 7 / 8 / 4 + 1 or 8-7/2 +1 or 9-7/2 or 11/2 which is also not true
