The correct option is B 14 : 33
Since, x : y = 1 : 3
$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y} = \frac{1}{3}$
$\Rightarrow y = 3 x$

$∴ 5 x + 3 y = 5 x + 3 \times (3 x) = 14 x$
and $6 x + 9 y = 6 x + 9 \times (3 x) = 33 x$

So, $(5 x + 3 y) : (6 x + 9 y) = 14 x : 33 x = 14 : 33$
