Question

If x,y{1,2,3,4} then check whether f={(x,y):x+y>4} is a function?

Open in App
Solution

We have f={(1,4),(4,1),(2,3),(3,2),(2,4),(4,2),(3,4),(4,3)}
We observe that 2,3,4 have appeared more than once as first components of the ordered pairs in f.So f is not a function.
