If y=log1cos3x1+cos3x, find dydx.

Open in App
Solution

If y=log1cos3x1+cos3x
y=log(1cos3x1+cos3x)1/2
y=12[log(1cos3x)log(1+cos3x)]
Differentiate w.r. to x both sides
dydx=12[11cos3x(3sin3x)3sin3x1+cos3x]
dydx=3sin3x2[11cos3x+11+cos3x]
dydx=3sin3x2[1+cos3x+1cos3x(1cos3x)(1+cos3x)]
dydx=3sin3x2×21cos23x
dydx=3sin3x1cos23x
dydx=3sin3xsin23x=3sin3x=3cosec 3x.
