The correct option is C
y will be zero when, $x^{2} + 2 x - 3 = 0$
$\Rightarrow x^{2} + 3 x - x - 3 = 0$
$\Rightarrow (x + 3) (x - 1) = 0$
$\Rightarrow x = - 3 o r x = 1$
Clearly we can see that option c matches our finding, hence option (c) is the right answer.
