If you are elected as the President of India which of the following decisions can you take on your own?
(a) Select the person you like as Prime Minister.
(b) Dismiss a Prime Minister who has a majority in Lok-Sabha.
(c) Ask for reconsideration of a bill passed by both the Houses.
(d) Nominate the leaders of your choice to the Council of Ministers.
(c)Ask for reconsideration of a bill passed by both the houses.
The President has to sign the bill that the parliament has passed. The President can reject a bill for a maximum of 1 time. Rejection of a bill by the President implies that he/she wants the houses to reconsider the bill. After, the bill gets circulated in the lower house and upper house for consideration. After the reconsideration, the bill again comes to the President and he has to sign it whether changes are made or not.
