DNA polymerase from Thermus aquaticus would be used to perform PCR. [1 mark]

Thermus acquaticus is a thermophilic bacteria. Enzymes isolated from this bacteria can tolerate high temperatures and remain active. [1 marlk]

In PCR, high temperature of 90-94 degrees is provided for denaturation of DNA. DNA polymerase from Thermus aquaticus will be able to function at this high temperature. [1 mark]
