The correct option is B 4 times
The number of poles will double everytime you cut a magnet. As you cut the first piece, which initially has two poles, you get two magnets. Those two magnets will have 4 poles in total. If you cut the two pieces from the middle, the number of poles will become 8. Hence, 4 times the initial number of poles.
