Solution

The correct option is B (1)n+1 when n is not a multiple of 3
z+z1=1z2z+1=0
z=1±3i2=ω,ω2

zn+zn=(ω)n+(ω)n or (ω2)n+(ω2)n
=(1)n(ωn+1ωn) or (1)n(ω2n+1ω2n)
=(1)n(ωn+ω2n) [ω3n=1]

Now if n is multiple of 3, then
zn+zn=(1)n(2)

or if n is not a multiple of 3, then
zn+zn=(1)n(1)=(1)n+1
