Avogadro's Law helped in arriving at the conclusion that "both hydrogen H2 and carbon dioxide CO2 will have equal number of molecules."

  • As per this law, equal volumes of all gases involve the same number of molecules at the same pressure and temperature.
  • The number of molecules of hydrogen in the cylinder is X.
  • Both hydrogen and carbon dioxide CO2 are present in the cylinder at same pressure and temperature.
  • Since, both gases have equal volumes, therefore, both will have equal number of molecules that is X.
