a) $20 * 16 = 20.16 = 320$

b) Identity $$ in $N$

i.e. $a e = a e = a$

Now we know $1 \in 1 N$ and $a * e = 1. a = a$ $\forall a \in 1 N$

$∴$ Identity is $1$
