Given, $x = \frac{- 5}{7}$ and $y = \frac{14}{15}$

Then,
$L H S = x \times y = \frac{- 5}{7} \times \frac{14}{15} = \frac{- 2}{3}$

$R H S = y \times x = \frac{14}{15} \times \frac{- 5}{7} = \frac{- 2}{3}$

$∴ L H S = R H S \Rightarrow x \times y = y \times x$

Hence verified.
