So, we have to find smaller of $\frac{1}{2}$ & $\frac{2}{5}$

Since the denominator are different, we leg

to make denominator equal

common denominator = LCM of 4 & 5

$=2\times 2\times 5$

$=20$

So,

$\frac{1}{4}=\frac{1}{4}\times \frac{5}{5}=\frac{5}{20}$

$\frac{2}{5}=\frac{2}{5}\times \frac{4}{4}=\frac{8}{20}$

Since $\frac{5}{20}<\frac{8}{20}$

$\therefore \frac{1}{4}<\frac{2}{5}$

Hence Ila read less of the book.
