Im damped vibration, two forces act on the body 1.the restoring force 2.resistive force
What us restoring force.

Solution
Restoring force, in a physics context, is a force that gives rise to an equilibrium in a physical system. If the system is perturbed away from the equilibrium, the restoring force will tend to bring the system back toward equilibrium. The restoring force is a function only of position of the mass or particle. It is always directed back toward the equilibrium position of the system.
Restoring force on the block due to spring is Fs = -kx, where x is the displacement of the mass from its equilibrium position.
During puberty, the vocal cords become longer and thicker in boys. Vocal cords are thin muscles that stretch across the larynx like rubber bands. The larynx protrudes from the throat and this is called an Adam’s apple. The enlargement of the larynx and thickening of vocal cords makes the voice low pitched and hoarse in boys. In girls, the voice becomes high pitched due to less development of the larynx and thin vocal cords.
