Dear student,
Respiration in plants is different from animal se they dont have any special system for gaseous exchange.
In plants stomata allow gaseous exchange by diffusion.
Respiration is a biological process, occurs at normal temperature.
It is a important process as in this energy is released and is stored in the form of ATP.
It takes place in all living cells of higher plants. It is a permanent process throughout the life of a plant.
It provide energy to perform other function.
In this process, plants take in CO2 which is important for photosynthesis.
Regards.
