Important points on Antyodaya Anna Yojana AAY

Dear student,

The important features of Antyodaya Anna Yojana are :

1. All beneficiaries under the scheme will get food grains and other important commodities for domestic consumption at subsidized prices. Distribution of food grains to beneficiary will be done through public distribution system.
2. Wheat will be provided for Rs.3 per Kg and Rice will be given for Rs.2 per Kg. All eligible family will get 35 Kg of rice per month. They can buy 1 kg of sugar at a rate for Rs.18.50 per Kg via ration shop.
3. AAY family will be provided with different colour of ration card.
4. The eligible beneficiaries for the scheme are families under Below Poverty line, disabled and senior citizens, families having annual income of Rs.15000, widows and senior citizens etc.
