Solution

Environmental sanitation is the control of environmental factors that leads to transmission of diseases.
Environmental sanitation includes
  • clean and safe water supply
  • clean air
  • proper and safe disposal of wastes
  • protection of food from chemical and biological contaminants
Proper environmental sanitation thus definitely controls the pests, and other disease causing microbes. In this way it leads to scarcity of biodiversity. On the other hand, poor environmental sanitation will lead to excess growth of pests and microbes which, though harmful to humans, definitely leads to richness of biodiversity.
