Solution
The correct option is D Methyl isocyanate with water
Bhopal gas tragedy occurred on 3 Dec 1984 when methyl isocyanate (MIC) leaked from the container and reacted with water in a tank, an exothermic chemical reaction started and produced a lot of heat. The high pressure produced due to heat generation damaged the safety valve of the tank. It gave rise to a heavy gas, that rank to the ground and proved to be fatal for a large population.
