When none of the factors of a gene is dominant, the phenotype of a heterozygous dominant individual is a blend of dominant and recessive traits. This is called as incomplete dominance. For example, flower colour in Mirabilis jalapa or the 4 o'clock plants. The red flower is the dominant character and the white flower is recessive character.
