​ In a 12 storey building, 3 persons enter a lift cabin. It is known that they will leave the lift at different storeys. In how many ways can they do so if the lift does not stop at the second storey?

Hi,
There are 10 storey remained so
One person leaving a story cannot be left by any other person so 

1st person can leave at any of 10 floors in 10 ways
2nd person can leave at any of 10 floors in 9 ways
3rd person can leave at any of 10 floors in 8 ways
so total number of ways = 10*9*8 = 720 ways
