Solution

Compute the required value:

Given:

(i)Youaregood=256(ii)Wearebad=637(iii)Goodandbad=358

In (i) and (iii), good is common in RHS and 5 is common in LHS. Hence ‘good’ is coded as 5

In (ii) and (iii), bad is common in RHS and 3 is common in LHS. Hence ‘bad’ is coded as 3

From (iii), ‘good’ is coded as 5, ‘bad’ is coded as 3. Hence ‘and’ is coded as 8

Hence, 'and' represents 8.
