Question

In a certain region the electric potential is given by the formula V(x, y, z)=2x2y+2y3z4z4x. Find the components of electric field and the vector electric field at point (1,1,1) in this field.

Solution

If expression of eleectric potential (V) is given then electric field (E)can be calculated by Vxx^i + Vyy^j + Vzz^k
So, E= (2x2y)x^i + (2y3z)y^j (4z4x)z^k =4y^i+6z^j16z^k
At point (1,1,1), E=4^i+6^j16^k
