Solution

The correct option is C 20:7
From the given data,
bottle A contains NaOH : water=7 : 3.
Let us take an amount x from A for our purpose.
Then the amount of NaOH=x×77+3=7x10 and
the amount of water= x×37+3=3x10.
Again bottle B contains NaOH : water=4 : 3.
Let us take an amount y from B for our purpose.
Then the amount of NaOH=y×44+3=4y7 and
the amount of water= y×34+3=3y7.
So, after mixing, the amount of NaOH=7x10+4y7=49x+40y70 and
the amount of water=3x10+3y7=21x+30y70.
By the given condition,
49x+40y70:21x+30y70=2:149x+40y=42x+60y7x=20yx:y=20:7.
So the required ratio is 20 : 7.
