We know,
According to law of conservation of mass,
Total mass of reactants = total mass of products
Here,
Mass on the reactant side = 150 g
Given,
Mass of CO2 liberated = 87 g
So, from the law of conservation of mass,
150 g = mass of residue + mass of CO2
mass of residue=(15087) g=63 g
